Addiction to look good, P/S: I am not pregnant.

There were once rumors spreading among my friend, saying I am pregnant, thanks to the special "someone" who say he kena TOTO. My confession: No, I am not. I am just fat *cry uncontrollably on the corner*
As a food blogger/critic, controlling myself to eat is not my habit. I do try to excise a bit, but not really for the purpose to looking good.  My philosophy is exercise to eat more.

However, due to the reason above, it does struck me hard that and I have going overboard lately. My previous injury on my back that cause a fracture bone under my pelvis has really gave me trouble in being active. I can't sit too long, I can't stand too long. Even if I run on a treadmill, my back can't let me run more than 3 km, don't to mention plank or sit up. It will  literally take my life! The more discomfort I goes through, the less I move. All these laziness over the years has stored some fats on my belly which even exercise couldn't reverse the effect. When Solta medical came to me for Liposonix, I can see lights falling onto me while angles singing around *flapping arms like wings*

At first, I thought Liposonix was liposuction, which they put you to anesthetic then suck/pipe out the lipid from you body. I was scared but when I read more, I found out that liposonix is quite different. Contradict to liposuction, liposonix procedure is not invasive. You can use liposonix on area that have more than an inch of fats. In another word, Liposonix is just the best alternative for people, men or women to rectify portion of their body w/o going to surgery.

Here is a website explaining what is Liposonix http://www.innovationsmedical.com/liposonix/
Liposonix uses  High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) to cause the death of fat cells. So you wouldn't see the result immediately but those fat cells are going to flush out of your body in a few weeks. Just make sure you drink enough of water!

However, Liposonix is not a vastly available technology in Malaysia. Solta Medical introduce me to one of the clinic that provide the Liposonix procedure.

Last few picture of the lumpy belly before the procedure. No, I didn't purposely strip off to take a picture. I was for the beautician to record my measurement before we start the procedure.

My lliac crest height is 100cm with waist circumference about 86cm.

After the belly farewell ceremony, let take a quick look on my procedure.

This is what a Liposonix machine looks like. Doesn't look very dreadful isn't it? Not like some metal pipes or steam machines like we saw in most weight lost documentary.

The beautician has to first mark the area that she is treating, so she can time how much time each area was treated and so no overlapping. Also spraying water on the skin will help act as a medium to deliver the ultrasound better.

Each pass last for 1 minute. Each area can goes up to 5 pass depends on the energy level of the procedure. If you can endure the higher energy ultrasound, it may only need 3 pass.

Other than the beautician, the Doctor was me in the room most of the time to check on my condition. In this picture, we can't really see her face, but she is like the most beautiful Doctor I even see in my life.

Dr. Serina Abdul Latif

My experience on the Liposinix treatment you ask? It was pretty ok. It's s abit discomfort when the handle was near to my pelvis bone. You may tell the Dr. or the beautician and they can switch the setting so that no ultra sound is propagate to the bone area. My belly develop a bit redness during the treatment but after the redness reduced, my belly become firmer smoother.

Like the Doctor suggested, I wore tight outfit on my belly after the treatment. Not sure it's because of my tight outfit or the procedure, my lower abdomen flushes blue-black that fades away after 1 week.

It has been 4 week since my liposonix treatment. I am practicing a healthier lifestyle with periodic exercise and enough of water. Although I did not cut down my food consumption, but I do consciously eat less fat when I am not doing food review. I will be going back in 2-3 weeks for a check-up. Wish me the best, hopefully my the treatment has help me to loose my belly and not to get mistaken as pregnant mom!
