Humble Beginnings [Food Review]

Why people keep telling me Humble Beginnings is good? When I finally try it out, I was like
"WHAT?! You guys cheated me! >.<"

We used the buy one free one voucher and got the Strawberry Cream (back) and French Vanilla(front)

Strawberry Cream is pure crap (not literally) . It's very dense and the strawberry is very artificial.

French Vanilla is slightly better. It's fluffier but the crepe is still slightly thick and  hard to break apart.

What I am trying to say is, I have get better Mille Crepe. Since these crepe is not easy to made, I am not blaming them, but a I would suggest a serious improvement plan.

Overall: 6/10 [I don't think they deserve the hype. It is still far from my list of the number one crepe cake shop in Malaysia]
Taste bud indulgence: 6/10 [Half of my experience if decent, the other half is hell]
Purse Saver: 7/10 [Not the cheapest]
Location: 4/10 [I can stand in front of the shop and doesn't know I am there already (GPS leads me to there)]
Service: 5/10 [There are no other customer there, only 1 waiter and instead of serving us, he answer a cake order phone call and keep us waiting for more than 10 minutes. :( I am not amused]

  1. I have ordered their royal milk tea 3 times and it's always good! But I have never eaten it sliced. Always ordered as a whole cake from the website.

  2. @ms.bulat good for you. I have encounter several occasions where when I get invited to their food review, they food is prefect, but when I revisit, the quality dropped significantly. That might not be your case since you say you ordered it online, not food review. But still, one word from me, disappointed :(

  3. I see. If it's me, I would also expect their food to be as good as the ones given during food reviews. Sorry to hear that. Hopefully they will improve on this ! If not it's wasting tummy space!
