The bi annual World Lion Dance Championship is once again here on 20-22 July 2012.
两年一 度的世界狮王争霸战又再度的来临了。这次的比赛将于七月20-22举办。
This year, the biggest and most established world lion dance championship is back at Resorts World Genting，with a total of 29 lion dance teams from all over the world. What so special about the championship this year is that the championship is finally organising for the 10th time and celebrating 20th years anniversary.
今年世界最大，最受公认的世界狮王争霸战，共29支来自世界各地的舞狮精英团队又来到了马来西亚云顶世界。

This time, 3 teams from each country are allowed (previously 2 teams) to participate. The total 29 teams from Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar, Brunei, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Chinese Taipei, Japan, USA, Australia, and United Kingdom are going to make the lions come to live with the beat of the drums and their stunning acrobatic performances coupled with synchronized agility.
这次，各国派出多达3支狮队参赛（往年两支）。届时预料将会有将近40 30 支来自世界各地精英舞狮团队前来争取象征最高荣誉的狮王宝座，受邀国家包括马来西亚，新加坡、印尼、泰国、缅甸、越南、文莱、中国、香港、澳门、台湾、日本、美国、澳洲及英国。
The 20th anniversary will be celebrated with a list of activities during the three-day event from 22 to 22 July 2012. Take a walk down memory lane with the photography exhibition of the history and development of lion dance championships organized by Resorts World Genting since 1994. Public can also look forward to purchase the limited edition merchandizes, such as t-shirts, pouch, badge and many more.
配合20周年庆，马来西亚云顶世界将从7月20日至22日展开为期3天的欢庆活动。活动包括历年争霸战摄影展，带您回顾过去20年来舞狮艺术的历史和发展。例外，公众将有机会购买云顶舞狮争霸战限量版周边产品作为纪念。
The top three winning teams of the 15th Malaysia National Lion Dance Championship 2011, namely Kun Seng Keng Lion and Dragon Association Muar, Maha Bohdi Society Tawau and Pertubuhan Tarian Singa dan Naga Hong Teck Alor Star, Kedah will be representing Malaysia to compete with other lion dance teams from all over the world. As the previous World Champion on 2010, Kun Seng Keng Lion and Dragon Association Muar group D, will skip the preliminary match and move into the final straight away, competing with 9 other groups.
2011年第15届马来西亚全国舞狮锦标赛的前三甲，即麻坡关圣宫龙师团、斗湖佛教会醒狮团以及吉打弘德体育会龙师团将代表马来西亚与其他国家的精英狮队一较高低。麻坡关圣宫龙师团D队将以卫冕冠军姿态直接晋级总决赛，与其他成功晋级总决赛的9支团队角逐冠军宝座。
Up to USD 30,000 worth of prizes will be given away to the winning teams. The Champion team will be awarded with a lucrative cash prize of USD10,000 along with trophy and medals. The 1st runner up will receive USD 6,000 and the 2ndrunner up USD3,000, also with trophy and medals. All the seven remaining finalists will receive USD1,000 cash prize and a trophy each. Meanwhile, there will be East and West Lion King trophies awarded to the best teams for Eastern and Western Countries.

After the speech, we are presented a short video that record the 20 years journey of the Championship.

Among the winner, they will always be the unlucky ones. Some tripped, some lost balanced, some even fail down from the pail. The MC voice out that, audience with camera flash might be the reason behind the missed. Thus, he reminded us and the spectators to not flash the performers during the competition, else the Championship will ceased any camera to the field during the competition start from next Championship.
